Happy New Year! I want to thank you for following my newsletter and taking an interest in real estate. It’s a real passion of mine and love that you are along for the ride. I know it’s mid February and a bit late for a ‘Happy New Year’, however I wasn’t around for all of January. I took a trip of a lifetime with my daughter Sidney. We backpacked through Sri Lanka and spent time at an elephant sanctuary.

It’s never too late to follow your dreams and passions. Whatever it is. If it’s real estate you want to pursue, then do it. Don’t let anything or anyone stand in your way. It’s all about taking the first step. I have a lot of newbie real estate wanna-bees call me and want to get into real estate and an overwhelming number of them are stuck. They get stuck in the education part of it, and they don’t actually end up doing any real estate. My advice to you, if this is what you want to do, start by getting out there and visit as many properties as you can. You’ll build confidence, meet colleagues, build resources, and gain more knowledge than you could ever imagine. The real estate juice is not in books and courses, but actually getting out there and doing it.

The Added Value of Home Staging

Selling a house is a tedious job. A quick sale means less stress: you don’t have to be on call to get your house ready for visit after visit. It also means you carry the cost of running and maintaining the house for a far shorter period of time. Learn the added value of home staging.

These days, if you want your home to sell quickly, you’ve got to stage it.

There is no doubt that people are affected by aesthetics. And home design shows are creating higher expectations among buyers.

Condos are Catching Up

The condo market is continuing to amaze me with active listings down -36%. A lot of people think that an undivided condo will have a harder time selling over a divided, however I’ve continually checked the statistics and that’s not true. Over the years, statistically speaking, and from my own personal experience as a broker, the price, the amount of days on market is comparable between the two. For more information on the difference, check out my article: The Difference Between Divided and Undivided.
