The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) has scheduled its annual temporary change in disinfectant procedure to be be conducted on the NTMWD water transmission systems and customers' distribution systems for a 28-day period from March 2 – 30, 2020.
This temporary change in disinfectant helps maintain the system and high water quality year round. The maintenance does not affect water quality and water remains safe for use. During this period, consumers who are sensitive to taste and odor changes in drinking water might notice a change. This palatability change does not alter the quality of the drinking water provided to consumers.
Frisco’s water system has a “superior” rating with the TCEQ and exceeds all state and federal drinking water standards.
