Above: Frank, a Ball Python (Python Regius) from the Zoology department.  We estimate that he is over 40 years old! He is a restrictor and is non-venomous. Ball pythons are named as such because when threatened, they coil into a tight ball with their head protected inside.

This Valentine's day send an electronic valentine. If you’re going to give a paper valentine, choose one made with recycled paper. Recycled paper products use significantly less water and energy than their non-recycled counterparts.

FRIENDS of Great Salt Lake is seeking applicants for the 2020 Doyle W. Stephens Scholarship. This scholarship provides support to undergraduate or graduate students engaged in new or on-going research that focuses on the Great Salt Lake and/or the lake ecosystem or watershed.
