Upcoming hearings and work sessions 

CURRENT CHILDCARE WORK
There will be a work session at the House Executive Departments and Administration committee on HB1713 regarding continuing education requirements for child day care workers, on 2/13 at 9:30am at Legislative Office Building room 306. I highly recommend that this bill be split into two tiers of continuing education requirements, and there should be some discussion regarding the appropriate split of job role and annual continuing education.

House Bill 1710, relative to the disclosure of the results of child day care monitoring visits, will be voted on in the Children and Family Law committee on 2/13 at 10am, Legislative Office Building room 206.

ENERGY WORK
On Wednesday 2/12, the House Science, Technology, and Energy Committee will be voting on sending to the full House this session's big net metering bill, HB1218, which I am proud to co-sponsor. This bill increases the net metering limit for consumer generators and represents a huge compromise with the governor's office to integrate three bi-partisan bills into one net metering solution. The committee will also vote on HB1430, establishing a commission to study attainment of a clean-energy electric grid by 2030, which I am proud to co-sponsor as well. 

House Executive Departments and Administration will vote on sending HB1445, which adds a Building Scientist to the Building Code Review Board on 2/12 in LOB room 306.

LEGAL WORK
HB1212, relative to the effect of homicide on distribution at death, which creates a NH "Slayer Statute" will be voted on by the House Judiciary Committee, LOB room 208 at 1pm on 2/19. 

HOUSE SESSION
The House of Representatives will meet in Session on Thursday 2/13 at 1pm. The Governor will give his "State of the State" address at 2pm. 

PERSONAL
Please note that I will be out of state this week for my day job. I am presenting at a hearing in the Federal Ninth Circuit in San Francisco in the matter of Sheahan et. al. v. State Farm et. al. which charges State Farm and data aggregator monopoly Verisk with intentionally undervaluing homeowners insurance in Northern California prior to the 2017 wildfires.
