Being a caregiver affects your relationships with family, friends, colleagues, and even neighbours. While three in four caregivers say that caregiving has strengthened the relationship with the person receiving care, often this role can strain other relationships or leave caregivers feeling alone and isolated. This month come work on building stronger communication and maintain healthier conversations.

With Valentine's Day right around the corner it's important to remember that you deserve love too! As caregivers we often put ourselves last, but it's crucial that we take time to nurture our own well-being and give ourselves the same grace we give to others.

“Self-love begins when we observe our actions and words with compassion as if we were our own best friend."

— Sara M Bosworth
