Mechanical Update
by Madison Capozzo
This past week, mechanical has been working around the clock to get the robot finished. The intake has been altered to better take in balls. The conveyor has been changed to prevent jams. We have been testing the robot and making many small adjustments to other parts of the robot as well. We have also finished the shooter. We will continue to work hard to get ready for the first competition.
Electrical Update
by Paige Drob

Electrical has been very productive this week. Since mechanical finished most of the bones of the practice robot, we have been able to mount the electrical board. Over the past few days we have been making hundreds of wire connections for the robot in order to get it into running shape. This year's robot is very unique, because we are using 3 different types of motor controllers, and some of these are dispersed throughout the robot, creating challenges while routing wire. The physical electrical board will be mounted at the bottom of the board for easy access when it comes to repairs. After completing the wiring, we did some minor debugging for our code. Then we were able to turn on and enable the robot for the first time and check it for pneumatic leaks. Overall, we are on track to complete basic functions to have the practice bot ready to display at the open house.
