Upgrading of Security of Showers
As you may have noticed, security fobs are being installed on the showers to control the use and access by non-members.
As of this Thursday 13th of February the shower doors will be closed with access only via a fob.
Fob’s and wrist bands are available from Jess in the office, they are water proof and designed to be taken with you into the water.
During organised club sanctioned nipper training times, authorised members will lock the doors open for ease of access.
Outside of these times the doors are to remain closed.

Breaking Records
Congratulations to all the athletes that were able to get to training last week. It was an amazing sight to see so many at board training and beach training. It’s so inspiring to see so many getting off the technology and spending time with their mates, team building and of course getting fit. Super effort! It was was our biggest attendance at nipper training EVER!! 150+ at boards on Wednesday night and 100+ at beach training on Friday night. It is just amazing! Keep up the great work athlete’s , coaches and parents.
Little Nippers
All the reports have been positive and complementary about our Little Nippers who were able to get down and compete at Leighton for the carnival on the weekend. Well done to all that went down and had a crack! I’ve heard team green got stuck in and had a ball so super job to everyone.
Assistant BBQ coordinator
Surprisingly we were not inundated with applications for this role. If you were worried about getting crushed in the rush to apply you can step forward now please.
State Qualifiers
For the U10 through to U13, they will compete this weekend at Mullaloo. They will be chasing limited spots for states in March. They will be competing for spots in the individual events of board race, Iron person, flags , beach sprints and board rescue.
Parents and athletes please read properly and follow the instructions from your age managers and be at the right spots at the right time on the right days. it will make everyone’s job easier and we won’t have anyone disappointed. Wishing you all the best of luck in the competition this weekend. All that can be asked of you is do your best and compete the Sorrento way!
