THROUGHOUT MARCH

Share the Plate (STP) –- This month’s STP donations will support New Sanctuary Movement of Philadelphia. As it builds community across faith, ethnicity, and class, New Sanctuary Movement welcomes all immigrants regardless of status. Members then help people navigate the complex immigration processes.

CAMI - Weekly Meetings - Wednesdays, 2:30- 3:00pm
(People trained in support of the HUB continue from 3:00-5:00pm.)

CAMI (Coalition Against Mass Incarceration) focuses on supporting the Germantown area participatory defense hub, which uses a process-oriented model to prepare and empower people navigating the criminal justice system and offer community support to help clients achieve justice. Contact Margaret Robertson to learn about the meetings at Janes Memorial Church.

Stewards of Children Training
Sunday, March 1, 12:00 - 2:00pm, Sullivan Chapel

USG is pleased to offer Stewards of Children®, a training that teaches adults practical actions they can take to reduce instances of child sexual abuse in their organizations, families, and communities. We urge all USG members and friends to attend because protecting children is every adult's responsibility.

bit.ly/uustewards. $10 registration fee. Participants who attend the 10:30am Worship Service on March 1 are encouraged to bring bagged lunches to enjoy before the 12:00pm training. Childcare will be provided. Continuing Professional Education credit is available. Contact Ryan Hurd (dsd@usguu.org) or Christine Ginsburg with questions.

Engage the BLUU Box, Sunday March 8, 12:00-1:00pm
Black Lives of UU (BLUU) creates a Box each month that contains a prayer to center us in joy, affirm us, and ground us in spiritually challenging times. It continues with a reflection on contemporary issues informed by a Black UU faith perspective and information about prominent Black UUs who have shaped and informed our living faith tradition. It ends with a brief guided meditation. Please join us.

UU the Vote – Zoom meeting – Wednesday, March 11 – 8:00 pm
Stay home or join friends BUT be sure to join UUPLAN's Zoom meeting for all Pennsylvania UUs. Learn how we and UUs from other states will rally Pennsylvanians who reflect our UU values to participate in the electoral process. The meeting will be an hour or less. NEW TIME! - Lock into our LOC for POWER! – Sunday, March 15, 9:30–10:15am
Get up, come early, and join the POWER Local Organizing Committee, LOC, discussions of outreach and recruitment for
POWER’s campaigns: Economic Justice, Climate Justice, and Live Free (Anti-Mass Incarceration and Gun Violence Prevention). LOC's monthly open meetings are on third Sundays at 9:00am. Contact Dennis Brunn (power@usguu.org) to become involved. Your talents are needed! 
Jubilee Anti-Racism Training – Friday, March 27- Sunday, March 29
Learn to nurture our congregation’s multicultural future as we face opposing cultural currents. Jubilee Anti-Racism Training helps participants work against racism in all of its forms. The workshop requires a weekend commitment and it is worth every minute. It takes place: Friday, March 27, 6pm to 10pm; Saturday, March 28, 9am to 9pm; Sunday, March 29, 8:30am to 5pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County in Media, PA. The fee is $160 per participant and includes cost for trainers, meals and materials. Enrollment is limited to 40 participants, so sign up today!

UUPLAN Annual Meeting - Bringing Personal Morality to Government – Friday April 24 through Saturday, April 25
Held a few days before the Pennsylvania Primary, this gathering at the Main Line Unitarian Church in Devon, PA will give you the chance to meet UU’s from across Pennsylvania. You’ll also meet presidential campaign officials and discuss issues with PA legislative panelists.
