Thank you so very much for your generous contribution to the Grassroots Democrats HQ and for attending our Insights from Outside the Bubble fundraiser in Malibu on Sunday. We had over 80 activists on hand to help build on our ongoing efforts to take back our country, and our outstanding panelists were blown away by the passion and dedication of our grassroots community.
This event was a huge success in every way possible - we raised significant funds; we recruited new volunteers; we had an excellent discussion that had everyone’s head buzzing afterwards. Thank you again to our panelists Max Brooks, Grant Woods, Scott Carter, and Gayle Tzemach Lemmon, who gave insightful analysis of how Democrats will need a big tent approach to win over disaffected Republican and independent voters in 2020. We would also like to thank Pez Cantina for providing an exquisite spread of food. Here is an album of photos for your enjoyment, capturing the spirit of the event.
Our team is hard at work to take back our country, both at our Westwood HQ and through remote locations across the state. Through our weekly phone bank and postcard writing events, we have already made over 46,000 phone calls and written nearly 45,000 postcards and letters. We have weekly canvassing trips with Women's March Action and Sea Change, and just launched our first of many texting programs. We have hundreds of volunteers working remotely from their living rooms and 30 grassroots groups and Democratic clubs have already joined our network as Affiliate Organizations.
With your help, we opened our storefront HQ in Westwood Village in December. Since then, hundreds of volunteers have walked through our doors and gotten to work on campaigns across the country to defend the House and flip the Senate. To ensure we can keep our doors open through Election Day 2020, we are inviting you to become monthly donors to our Sustaining Donor Fund.
