Hill Buzz

On the NO BAN Act:

“The United States has always been, and must continue to be, a place that welcomes and embraces people of all religions and nationalities. But, as a result of the Muslim Ban, our country’s reputation as a beacon of hope, tolerance, and inclusion for those fleeing persecution, reuniting with their families, or simply seeking a better life has been forever tarnished."

 - Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-MI-10)

On the ERA:

“With this resolution, we take a giant step toward equality for women, progress for families and a stronger America because we know that when women succeed America succeeds"

 - Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA-12)

“Congress does not have the constitutional authority to retroactively revive a failed constitutional amendment and subject citizens in all 50 states through the current political trend in just one state.”

- Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA-9)
