NvHIMA is seeking dedicated professionals for the 2020-2021 Board of Directors.
This is a wonderful opportunity to mentor, network, develop public speaking skills and become a valuable asset to your state association.
Open positions and job descriptions include:
President-Elect – (3 year term)
First year is a training/learning term, second year as acting President and third year as Past-President. President-Elect shall act in place of the President in the event of the absence of the President and shall exercise such other duties as may be delegated to the office by the Board.
Secretary – (1 year term)
The Secretary is the official custodian of the records of NvHIMA. The Secretary shall certify and keep the original or a copy of the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws, as amended to date, as well as a book of minutes of all meetings of the members and the Board of Directors, and any committees having any of the authority of the Board of Directors. The Secretary shall perform any and all other duties incident to the office of Secretary and other duties as may be prescribed by law, the Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, or the Board of Directors.
Director – (1 year term)
The Director shall act as Board liaison between the Board of Directors and NvHIMA members and shall serve as NvHIMA Historian and Data Documentarian, as well as keeping the Official Membership Roster.
Nominating Committee – (1 year term)
The Nominating Committee presents a ballot of candidates to the NvHIMA membership to vote for positions on the Board of Directors.
