Our Lenten Devotional is a faith-filled resource that will guide you through the season of Lent.  Written by the North Avenue prayer team and other members of North Avenue, it leads us, through scripture and inspiration, to comprehensively pray for North Avenue and to take time to cultivate our relationship with God. A limited number of printed copies of the devotional will be available next Sunday, February 23.  If you would like to reserve a printed copy, please email your name and the number of copies you would like to reserve to trevor@napc.org.
SAVE MONEY - Receive The Devotional via the APP!
It will save North Avenue a lot of money if you choose to receive the devotional through the North Avenue App.  If you already have the App downloaded, please make sure that you have push notifications turned on.  Open the App - Tap on the three lines at the top left of the screen - Tap Settings - Tap Notifications - Ensure that the “General” option is toggled on.

To download the App, go to the relevant App Store on your device and search North Avenue.

TECH TEAM TO THE RESCUE!
Sunday, February 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., we will have a tech team ready and waiting to help you download the App and receive the devotional.
The Hospitality Team is in need of a few more people to help welcome people to our church on Sundays as greeters and ushers.  If you are available to help out for about one hour each month, please email Kim Goldsmith at kim@napc.org.

Women's Retreat - For an army, to retreat is to “withdraw from enemy forces as a result of their superior power, or after a defeat.”  As a noun it is defined as, “an act of moving back or withdrawing.”  Originated in the Latin, “retrahere” retreat is both movement and place, a seeking of safety and a finding of safe place.

This year, the women of the church (and their friends, sisters, neighbors) are invited to retreat to the mountains for a time of relationship-building and tender care while we explore a difficult topic in an encouraging fellowship of fellow followers of Jesus.  We will be exploring forgiveness, considering it from the perspective of forgiving others, seeking forgiveness from others and forgiving ourselves.

For this topic, retreat seems like the perfect word.  In order to have space and time and energy to attend to the multiple layers and meanings of forgiveness, we need to withdraw from the forces around us that seem to overpower us, in order to be empowered by God’s Word to us.  Forgiveness begins and ends with finding our identity within the heart of God.  Come be renewed and refreshed in that identity.
