- Feb 25 - Mar 3 - Festival de la Salsa En Cuba - 5th edition of the Havana salsa festival that Maykel Blanco organizes. Workshops with dance Cuban dance superstars Maykel Fonts and Jenyselt Galata Calvo and concerts from a literal who’s who of Cuban timba plus an as yet unnamed international artist.

- Aug 28-30 Timba Cuba Festival - Portorož (Slovenia) – this is a festival at a beachfront hotel apparently organized or curated by Yeni Molinet, and features a who’s who of Cuban teachers including Alberto Valdes, Yeni Molinet, Jenyselt Galata, Maykel Fonts, Hector Oviedo, etc. Parties, workshops, live music, DJs, a boat trip. This looks incredible.
- September 24-27 Festival de la Timba "por siempre Formell" is happening again In Havana. What will undoubtedly be another phenomenal lineup of the finest in Cuban bands...
Halifax Events
- Feb 14 Haliente Valentines day party - Haliente is doing a meal from Ella’s downstairs before the social for Valentines. DJs include Bill, Luis and the regular Haliente DJs.
Feb 15 Son Latino at Sura Lounge – great drinks here, food sounds awesome too. Staff was very friendly to a total dance takeover throughout the entire space last time and Son Latino sounded great!
