Reminder: GMaP Region 4 Travel Awards for Spring 2020 - due in 1 week!

Apply for a GMaP Region 4 Travel Award to support your travel expenses for spring travel through June 30, 2020! Applications are due Wednesday, February 19th. 

GMaP Region 4 is pleased to announce the availability of funds to support junior and early stage investigators of diverse backgrounds or those focusing on cancer disparities research in our region. Priority is given to those investigators with the intent to apply for NCI CURE Awards within the next 1-2 years.

GMaP Region 4 Travel Award - Spring 2020
Purpose: The Early Career Travel Award is intended to support career development in cancer research, with an appreciation for health disparities research and researchers of diverse backgrounds. It is designed to assist early career scholars with expenses related to:
  • Conferences (i.e., registration, travel, lodging, etc.)
  • Workshops/Trainings
  • Other Qualified Career Development Opportunities 
Up to $750.00 in travel reimbursement will be available. Travel must conclude prior to June 15, 2020.

Applicants are required to:
  • Submit their reimbursement form,W9 and original receipts within one month of completion of travel
  • Submit a post-report summarizing their experience
Due Date: Applications are due Wednesday, February 19, 2020.  Awards will be announced by February 28th.

Expert Grant Review Available - Utilize now for Spring/Summer 2020 CURE and other NCI Awards
The Expert Grant Review award is intended to assist New and Early Stage Investigators who are applying for funding awards, primarily CURE, with feedback from senior researchers.  Grants are welcome in the following categories: (1) Population-based Research, (2) Basic Science Research, or (3) Clinical/Translational Research.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
