Email issue using Outlook with Comsense Enterprise

We're reaching out with this message to the primary contact at each of our accounts to provide some proactive guidance about an issue that may be occurring at your organization, or may begin occurring in the coming days.

In early February 2020, some Comsense users began to experience problems when sending email directly from the Comsense software using Microsoft Outlook.

The symptom experienced is the Subject line from the email is appended to the recipient's email address rather than landing where it belongs in the Subject field. The image below provides an example of this behavior.



The problem is caused by a change in the command-line argument handling in Microsoft Outlook for Office 365 Version 2001, which started to roll out in early February to the Monthly Update channel of Office 365. This change causes trouble for Comsense and many other third-party software providers who rely on these parameters to perform particular operations.
