Pastor Nathan has a message for anyone that might be interested in singing with the worship team during our weekend services.
How can I get plugged into singing at FBC Salem?
If you are interested in singing in the larger worship vocal group of singers and were unable to attend the launch meeting, it’s not too late to get involved.
What is it?
An assembly of singers incorporated into the weekend worship services which will function like a choir/ensemble (on risers) with a ministerial strategy.
Who’s in the group?
The group is filled with people from all age groups who are interested in serving God through using their voice in worship.
I’m not an amazing singer, but I love to worship!
Good! Worship in a group with others who love to sing and worship.
What is the purpose of this ministry?
To worship
To serve
To sing
To encourage the spirit of worship in our congregation
To lead our congregation (think worshipping choir rather than performing choir)
What’s the commitment?
The group will sing collectively as an important part of our weekend worship services in conjunction with the existing worship team, once every four to six weeks. You would need to attend the one practice on Tuesday of the previous week with the rest of the worship team.
Sign up through the worship office or contact Linda Axtell for more details.

“Anguish” is the price we pay for love”. The more you love someone, the more you grieve their death ... the loss of the relationship…the emptiness that often follows death, divorce and separation. Shock, disbelief, confusion, depression and anger are often part of the myriad of feeling one experiences. GriefShare and DivorceCare,
are workshops/support groups for people experiencing the loss of someone close. Even though friends and family want to help, they often don’t know how. People who understand and want to offer comfort, hope and encouragement, facilitate our DivorceCare and GriefShare classes. They have walked a similar path on this difficult journey; they grasp the depth of your pain and they care; they have successfully rebuilt their lives and are available to help you move toward healing and hope.
