Week of February 14, 2020
This week our focus for the Positivity Project, along with many others in our society, was “Love.” As we think about the word “love” we find it has many layers. It brings to mind, “How do we show God’s love to others?” They say variety is the spice of life. That’s why God puts many people in our lives that are different than us. Some spread God’s sunshine, others His thunder. Some meander through life, pausing to smell the roses; while others pick and quickly cut them at a sharp angle arranging them in a vase.
We are all different, and that is just as God made us to be. Each one has different gifts to share. Learning to love others who are different and see the world differently than you do is a lifelong lesson we all face. This week our students and staff participated in activities that helped us to value our differences. God didn’t mean for us to all see the world from just our point of view. He also gave us weaknesses so that we lean on others. For it is through their strength that they allow God’s love to embrace us and hold us up in times of need.
Let’s give thanks for the gift to be able to love one another not just around this time of year, but each day - one person at a time. Here’s to spreading God’s love and rays of sunshine!
Thank you to everyone who helped with all of our fun community events and promoting our beautiful school during Catholic Schools Week. We all play a role in helping our school grow. We had several tours during our events, last week during the school day and more this week. Keep spreading the word about Guardian Angels.
Registration for the 2020-2021 school year is open! Please go online to www.mytad.com to register. Students who are registered before spring break will be able to participate in a special pizza party with Fr. Deziel and Mrs. Lovegreen.
