The Vermont Supreme Court upheld the sale last month after a challenge from residents. Wright argued that investing in Champlain Broadband offered the city its best chance to recoup funds for taxpayers. Schurz has said that Burlington Telecom is exceeding expectations, and Wright said a council decision to not invest would be “shortsighted.”

The sidewalks in this neighborhood are covered in sheets of black ice because nothing was cleared for days and froze after melting today. Unavoidable in many places, sometimes many feet long. People could get very hurt if this is not promptly cleared. Drew, Strong, Blodgett, Ward are all affected. Thank you for your work, and please pay more attention to this neighborhood, it is usually neglected after storms.
