The OFIA 2020 Call for Applications will be closing soon, do not miss this last chance to submit your work! Your application can be submitted in English, French, German, Spanish, Korean, or Mandarin. Submissions shall meet the following criteria:

farming, and processing

innovative and new
in their contexts
|
|
|
|
relevant for exploring potential or solving problems

|
in the position to achieve
positive, sustainable impact

Award Details
OFIA is awarded in two categories: the Grand Prize and the Science Prize. A committee will select one Grand Prize and one Science Prize winner based on the criteria of innovativeness, relevance, and impact potential.
Each winner will receive a monetary award (Grand Prize: $10,000 USD and Science Prize: $5,000 USD), and be invited to the 20th edition of the Organic World Congress (OWC 2020) to showcase their work! The next OFIA Ceremony will be held at the OWC 2020. Travel, accommodation, and OWC registration expenses will be covered., scheduled for September 21-27, 2020 in Rennes, France.

What is OFIA?
Highlighting Innovation in Organic Farming

The Organic Farming Innovation Award (OFIA) is an initiative of the Rural Development Administration (RDA) of the Republic of Korea, IFOAM - Organics International, and the IFOAM Technology Innovation Platform (TIPI). It is the organic movement's prize awarded to highlight organic innovations of scientists, extension agents, practitioners, and seeks to contribute to solving problems and exploring the potential to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of organic farming.
An experienced panel of experts will select OFIA winners from a pool of global applicants. They will bestow the award on the occasion fo the Organic World Congress (OWC). In 2020 the OWC will take place in Rennes, France.
