Laissez le bon temps rouler with the GTYC Mardi Gras Party and “Krewe of Crews” Parade & Contest on Friday, February 21st
Feast on NOLA-style cuisine – think Gumbo, Po’ Boys, Jambalaya, Red Beans & Rice, Cheesy Grits, Cajun Corn Bread, and King Cakes, and specialty drinks from the bar!
Dinner for $15
One and all are encouraged to get into the Carnival Spirit by masquerading for Mardi Gras with costumes and masks, or at least bead necklaces!
The highpoint of the night will be our own indoor Mardi Gras Parade! In New Orleans, parades are organized by social clubs known as “Krewes,” each having its own theme and traditional annual route. GTYC’s Krewe of Crews Parade & Contest will consist of mini “floats” (click the Youtube video below) designed, constructed, and marched along the parade route by crews of racing or cruising boats, or a group of friends or others sharing common interests.
