A big thank you! 2019 was another fantastic year for Artreach :)
We worked with 22 artists to reach 352 children, young people and women from marginalised communities, in 8 locations across India!
For the first time, we successfully placed 8 young adults in internships at leading design and art institutions. Many thanks to the kind people who have supported these placements – either by sponsoring an intern or by inviting an intern into your studio or institution. These are life-changing opportunities for the young people we work with.
'From classes with Artreach to getting an internship now, I feel my future is bright, I feel independent!'
~ Kulsum
Another highlight was Anurupa Roy’s intensive workshop for a group of Artroom students. They are putting together a fantastic shadow puppet theatre production, which will be performed in Delhi in April 2020. Please look out for details and come along to see this amazing piece of theatre. Artroom workshops are presented in partnership with Devi Art Foundation.
