Proposed Development in Ward 8

This neighbourhood meeting is your first opportunity to hear about a proposed development from the applicant, learn about the City’s development approval process and timelines, and ask questions.

Location: City Hall Rotunda, 70 Collier Street

Development Details

The proposal under consideration includes a multi-residential condominium development consisting of fifty (50) townhouse units and six (6) affordable housing units. The units are to be three stories in height with frontage on a private road that would connect Foster Drive to the north and Little Avenue to the south. To accomplish this proposal the owner/applicant is required to submit a Zoning By-law Amendment Application.

What to Expect

  • A presentation from the applicant of the development concept.
  • Information about the City's review process and timing.
  • An opportunity to meet the applicant, City staff and ward councillor.
  • An opportunity to ask questions and provide your comments and/or concerns regarding the proposed development.

What not to Expect

  • City staff recommendations on the application or a detailed analysis on the proposal (this will occur later in the review process).
  • A debate on the merits of the proposal between City staff and the applicant.
