Valentine's Day Sale!

This year I'm practicing Radical Self-Love for Valentine's Day. What does that mean? I'm giving myself a break and appreciating the good things about myself. I'm not worrying about money (well, trying) and not worrying about how well I'm performing at work. It's not that I don't care - I care too much, and that's often the problem. It takes me away from my purpose.

Let me explain. Right now, I worry about how my book is being received, I worry if it is a financially viable product, I worry I'm not doing well enough. Well, yesterday, an old acquaintance called me to tell me she'd given my book, 100 Tips For Growing Up to her Autistic son. He's high functioning but struggling with school and other kids. She shared with me that he's in a special group and he'd been given a sheet with ten tips for 'growing up,' but he'd finished it and been discouraged it wasn't enough. She wanted me to know that he loves my book and carries it around with him every where he goes. He's almost using it like an Encyclopedia to figure out how to deal with different situations in life that confuse him. Needless to say, I cried after she told me. That puts things in perspective for me. It never even occurred to me that a teenager with developmental issues could benefit from my book.

The point is, I still get caught up in superficial things, and I forget that if I'm helping one person, I've done my job. I share this story because it reminds me to practice radical self-love on myself. This Valentine's Day, I wish you love and light, and most of all, kindness to yourself. The book is 20% off until Feb. 15th. Maybe it will bring some relief to you or someone you love <3
