Programming underway!
There are three building projects currently underway in different stages.
1. This morning, our Malindza builder just completed a permanent home for Nomalungelo.  She is a double orphan who lives alone. Unfortunately she flunked out of school due to a severe learning disability (there's no such thing as special education in traditional public schools), so we are trying to support her in other ways. Tonight, she will sleep in her first home not made of mud and sticks!
2. The middle photo above shows the construction Mazwi has completed adding onto Mphilo's (his sister's) existing structure.  Mazwi asked for only building materials as he was offering to build the home himself!  By adding onto Mphilo's home, we were also able to save on the cost of one wall, in addition to the savings from not paying a builder. He will finish plastering the home and adding doors and windows soon!
3. The photo on the right shows Nokuphila (middle) with her two sisters in front of the stick and mud hut they share.  Due to a heavy rain, we have not yet started their construction; but the building materials have been purchased and construction will begin as soon as weather is permitting.  Nokuphila is in form 1 (8th grade) and besides an alcoholic older brother, she is the caretaker of her sisters.

Join us in October for Lungelo's graduation!
We soon have our very first University of eSwatini college graduate and we could not be more excited! Lungelo has worked hard for 6 years in his accounting program and already has a job offer upon completion of the program this fall! We are so proud of him!!
Consider joining us at the graduation to increase the size of his cheering squad. He is waiting on the graduation date to be posted by UNESWA, but he is thinking it's the weekend of October 10th. If so, the trip would take place around October 7-16th. Read more about his story HERE.
