The energy transition is at the top of the EU’s agenda. This vital and complex transformation raises myriad questions, in particular for the EU’s industries, which form a cornerstone of its economy.
 
How are energy transition policies affecting (heavy) industry in the EU today? What approaches can industries and policymakers take to tackle climate change while supporting employment and competitiveness in the EU? In sum: How can a successful energy transition coexist with a strong industry in the EU?
 
This event will explore these questions from a wide range of angles – from business and industry, employment and policy – in order to provide a clear picture of the current state of affairs and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
