Happy Valentine's Day!

This week, we have been enjoying the daily themes as part of the PTSA & NAISR STUCO-run event, "Love Is In The Air", in the lead up to today's Valentine's Day celebrations. Today, the focus will be to "Love Yourself". Students were asked to come to school dressed in red, pink or hearts, and pick up a free sweet treat in the lobby. During the day the ordered candy grams will be delivered, which everyone is very excited about.

Good luck to our Under 12 Girls and U14 Boys Basketball teams who are traveling to Amsterdam this afternoon to compete against ISA. Many of these students traveling to Amsterdam today are competing for the first time in the NECIS competition, so all the very best to them and Go Sharks!

A Little Bit of Genius
Nord Anglia have recently launched an exciting new podcast series, where talented Nord Anglia students interview very special guests, such as Daniel Gilbert – CEO of Brainlabs, Lord David Puttnam – Oscar-winning film producer and Andrew Jack – Global Education Editor at the Financial Times. You can  listen to the podcasts here >>>
Care Backpacks for JBRR
ES & MS STUCO have begun working on a new initiative. When students last visited JBRR (child protection), they asked what the children needed the most and it was explained to the students that often they need to rush children from their homes who are in danger or distress with no time to collect their belongings. So our students have decided to put together emergency backpacks which contain necessary and useful items that these children might require. This way, JBRR can give something to the child that is being withdrawn from their home as a comfort and also a need. Each class from K - Grade 8 will decide who will bring what (see poster below) and if a grade level fills five or more backpacks, everyone in the class will get free movie tickets to the upcoming movie night (20th Feb)!
