Thank you!
We recently asked for your help to complete a survey about us. We hoped for 500 responses, and we had a donor promise $1,000 for our emergency financial assistance program if we reached that goal. We had 1,060! Here's one family we helped as a result (*names/locations changed): Laura Smith is the single mother to 24 year old John who is struggling with uncontrolled epilepsy and mental health issues. John is currently unable to work or attend school. Laura works full-time as a grocery store clerk. This is the family’s only source of income. She struggles to pay their monthly rent. John is socially isolated and his anxiety and depression have worsened over the last few months. Laura has missed many days of work caring for John and trying to get him help, which has put her behind on the rent. A one time gift of $1000 brought their rent current, alleviating the stress of unstable housing from Laura and John's worries. Thank you!

Rhode Island Volunteer of the Year
Epilepsy Foundation New England surprised Donald Gould at the Matty Gala on February 8, 2020 with the RI Volunteer of the Year award. Christina Vilardi said, “Donald has been integral in the success of our RI events this past year. He is always willing to lend a hand, no matter the task. We couldn't accomplish the important work that we do in RI without him!" Thank you, and congratulations, Don!
