Garden Lakes proposes 1,135 units

More information is now available about one of the largest residential projects proposed in the Atlanta region. Garden Lakes is located off state route 81 north of Hampton.

The 301-acre project is requesting a rezoning to residential suburban (RS). The project will go before the Henry County Zoning Advisory Board in March.

Hampton meets Tuesday

The Hampton city council meets on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at city hall. Public hearings for three rezoning requests will start at 6 pm followed by the regular meeting at 6:30 pm.

Next week is the last opportunity to participate in the school district's community conversations. The school system is looking for community feedback to help guide its long-range strategic plan.
