Become a member of the Sovrin Foundation

The Sovrin Foundation launched a new membership program! Now, individuals and organizations can become 'Sovrin Foundation Members' by being a Donor, Steward, and/or Volunteer.

As a nonprofit, the Sovrin Foundation relies on financial donations from its Donors in order to continue to build the Sovrin Network and promote SSI around the world. Stewards commit ongoing resources to strengthen the infrastructure of the network, and Volunteers give their time and expertise by participating in our many governance working groups, industry-specific task forces, and open source developer calls.

If you would like to learn more about any of these membership roles, please fill out the inquiry form at https://sovrin.org/join-sovrin/, and a Sovrin Foundation staff member will contact you shortly.

To celebrate the launch of this new program, the Foundation is publishing a series of blog posts that dive deeper into the four core areas of its nonprofit work, which Sovrin Chairman Phil Windley first described as the "Four Pillars of an SSI Network":
Until Feb. 29, 2020, the prices to become a Donor are discounted by 10%. If you support the mission of the Sovrin Foundation, become a Member today!

New Stewards

The Sovrin Foundation welcomes Medici Ventures and Vibranium ID as the newest Stewards of the Sovrin Network! Read the announcement here.

“When reviewing Steward applications, the Sovrin Foundation looks to approve organizations that come from varying geographic locations, sizes, and industries in order to strengthen the network’s diversity and security,” says Heather C. Dahl, Executive Director & CEO of the Sovrin Foundation. “Both of our newest Stewards reflect that goal. Medici Ventures is the first blockchain accelerator to be a Sovrin Steward, and Vibranium ID is our first Steward located in Kenya. We are thankful for their support of the Sovrin Network in helping us bring self-sovereign identity to all.”
