Celebrate Estonian Independence Day in Sunnyvale!
 
Celebrate the anniversary of Estonian independence on February 22nd at Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, CA. Doors open around 5:45 PM, and the program begins at 6:00 PM. Join us in welcoming choir conductor, singer, and rock musician Valter Soosalu, who will talk about musical life in Estonia and perform a selection of musical favorites from through the years.
Consul General Ann Hänni of the Consulate of Estonia in San Francisco will welcome the crowd and introduce the Estonian government's new west coast outpost. Toomas Koger will give an overview of the International Estonian Centre project in Toronto. Come hear the San Francisco Estonian Community Choir in just their second performance since last summer's Laulupidu in Tallinn. A festive reception follows, with Baltic inspired refreshments and a no-host bar.

Dress is festive, rahvariided welcome. Activities for kids will be available during the performance, from 6:15 pm - 8 PM (kids will join their parents afterward at the reception). Please reserve a spot for your child in advance by e-mail (tviitas@gmail.com).
