Life After Loss

Jane Backhouse

The Funeral Service for Jane will be on Wednesday 12th February, 2.00pm in St Leonard's Church.

Mothers' Union
On Friday 14 February the MU meet at 1.00pm in St. Leonards Hall for their annual lunch, followed by AGM and a look through the Archives. Please contact Janet Kent if you haven't signed up but wish to attend.

Lunchtime Concerts
The 2020 Season of Lunchtime Concerts begins on Saturday 15th February with Adam Heron (piano). Adam Heron was a finalist in the 2018 BBC Young Musician, he will be playing music by Mozart, J.S.Bach and Brahms. Pamphlets containing the years programme are available at the back of the church. The concerts have free admission with a retiring collection and last approximately an hour.

Christian Aid

Christian Aid Lunch

The next lunch will be on Friday 21st February St Peter’s Chapel Rooms Belgrave Road. There will be two sittings, the first from 12 noon to 1.00pm and the second from 1.00pm to 2.00pm. 

Tickets, costing £8, will be available from your Christian Aid representatives Carolyn Plowman and Peter Holding or ring 01323 894899.

Thank you for all your cards and greetings, prayers, amazing generosity, and above all your love in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are truly blessed to have been part of such a wonderful community in Seaford and feel we have gone out with much joy. As we rest, we will pray for you all and for the appointment of your next vicar.

Lent Course
This Lent, Marion Holding is hosting a Lent Course which will be following the journey of Jesus from his temptations through to his death on the cross and his resurrection. The course will run on Monday mornings 10.00am to 12noon on the 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd March at Marion's home. If you would like to join in please contact Marion on 01323 896557.
Tuesday Stewards at St. Leonard's
A big thank you to all the Stewards for their support on Tuesday mornings to help keep St Leonard's open. We have been fortunate to receive several new enquiries to join our friendly team. If you have put your name forward recently and would like further information please call Julia on: 01323 895073.
 
Pew Cushions

A team of people are going to remake the pew cushions for St. Leonard's between now and the end of March. This involves unpicking and removing the old filling, washing the covers and fireproofing them before inserting new foam and sewing them up. Please bring your own cushion from home, each week, if you would be more comfortable while we complete this process. If you would like to help with this project please speak to Margaret Smith on 01323 895212.

Homelink are looking for a Part-time Administrator & Development Officer 

The post holder will be responsible to the Board of Trustees for administrative tasks and for managing and developing communication with supporters. The successful candidate will need to have good communication skills, experience in using a variety of office applications and social media, giving presentations, facilitating fundraising events, and managing grant applications. The post holder will normally work from home (for an average of 21 hours per week) and the salary for these hours is £1,092 per month. The closing date for applications is on Friday 14thFebruary 

Interviews will take place in Lewes on Tuesday 25th February

March Hare Bazaar
The March Hare Bazaar will be held in St. Leonards Hall on Saturday 7th March 10-12. More details to follow!
