I have been asked about the Sailability dates for the forthcoming season. I am impressed with the organisation and planning that some of you are doing. I can confirm that the water is still rather cold at the moment. However here are the dates:
3rd April - set up morning. We get the boats set up for the season ahead. Restep masts and any jobs on the crabber and Wheelyboat.
24th April. - a session for all those that helm or crew safety boats and also those of us that may do this role even occasionally or would like to do this role. We will look at how we use the Jason’s cradle, how we get people out of the water, use of the horse shoe and anything else anyone thinks would be useful. Sharing experience. John B has kindly offered to wear a dry suit and jump into the lake so that we can have a go at rescuing him. A warm soup for lunch will be provided.
