HAC: Politicians unite on short-term rentals
OTTAWA — Trudeau, Scheer, Singh and Blanchet didn't agree on much during last fall's election. Yet all parties included a commitment to tax digital businesses, like Airbnb, the same way as hotels thanks to the unified voice of the hotel industry.

Marriott Canada sees more select service deals
MISSISSAUGA — Marriott Canada opened 23 hotels in Canada in 2019, four each for Four Points, Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites and Delta. The strongest brands in the pipeline going forward are select service hotels.
