Lateness:
Please note that school starts at 8.50 am. Students should be arriving at 8.45 am and be settled in the areas of their Tutor classes prior to the 8.50 am bell. If your child is late to school, they must sign in at the Student Centre.
When calling to provide information about your child if they are absent, please let the office know the reason for the absence. Justified absences include short term illnesses or medical appointments, visiting an unwell relative and bereavement leave. Other absences are classified as 'explained' and may count towards truancy statistics.
Student Log Books:
A reminder that all students require a diary or log book to help them plan their time at school, and their homework requirements. Teachers and parents also use these books to send messages between home and school where necessary.
Any diary is fine, there are no specific requirements of size/shape or format!
The school has a limited stock of standard Log Books for purchase from Student Centre for $3.
Art Department:
The TCAS Art department would like donations of a couple of items if you have them at home.
1. Plastic juice bottles wanted for Worm Juice...Kerri 2.4L bottles or similar. 2. For Art, we are looking for old cogs, clocks, broken jewellery, velvet etc for a Steampunk project.

Year 5-7 Camp:
The Year 5-7 Camp is taking place from 4th-6th March at Camp Columba. All parents/caregivers should have received a letter towards the end of Term 4 about this. Camp fees are set at $200 and you are welcome to set up regular weekly/fortnightly payments with internet banking. If you are struggling to pay the fees, please contact the school office to talk about your options.

TCAS Athletics Day:
Next Friday (21st February) is The Catlins Area School Athletics Day for 2020. Please remind all students that they are to wear mufti house colours on the day and have appropriate sports footwear. Also, pack extra food, water and a hat, even if it's an overcast day!
Timetable and further information will be emailed to all parents before the day.
