EU-ASEAN Business Council Mission Trip to Thailand 2020
 
The 2020 EU-ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC) Mission to Thailand was held from 17 – 19 February 2020.
 
The Mission presented a prime opportunity for EU-ASEAN Business Council and EABC members which are major European Multinational Corporations across sectors from manufacturing, services, health, logistics, digital businesses amongst others to engage with top decision-makers, as well as gain clarity on current and future government policies, as well as provide constructive feedback on hurdles to business.
 
EABC together with delegates received an honor to pay a courtesy visit to H.E. Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister at the Government House of Thailand and brief meeting with H.E. Ambassador Pirkka Tapiola, EU Ambassador to Thailand at European Union in Thailand, as well as held dialogue with several ministries and government agencies; Ministry of Agriculture & Cooperatives, Bank of Thailand, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Finance and Board of Investments.
 
During the mission, EABC presidents and working group representatives has highlighted several points related to Thailand-EU Free Trade Agreement, Regulatory reforms, Ease of doing business in Thailand, Reduction of barrier to trade as well as recommendation and expertise to government.
