@ Seed Sprout Spoon
3137 Morgan Ford Road, 63116
5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
$30 per person

'Vepřo knedlo zelo' is oven roasted pork in an onion and caraway pan gravy, served with fluffy steamed bread dumpling and braised cabbage. It's also the classic Czech dinner you'll enjoy at this streamlined weeknight event in the LUKA Eastern European pop-up dining series.

Vegetarians, rejoice! A meatless option replaces the pork with roasted mushrooms in a plant-based version of the onion caraway gravy. Our founder and culinary director shared some words about that at the LUKA blog today. Read those words here!

Your choice of complimentary beverage:

Pilsner Urquell beer (1 can)

We'll have two seatings of 24 guests, and use a streamlined service format so that you can get in, have dinner, and then get on with your Wednesday night life by 8:00 pm at the latest. Your party will have its own table, rather than the usual family-style seating, and guests will be served as they arrive. This allows you some flexibility with arrival time.

We'll need to know: Which seating shall you attend, 5:30 or 7:00 pm? There will be a couple of extra questions on the ticket checkout so that we have your order in advance of your arrival.

Once you have your drinks, your food will come almost immediately. As usual, portions will be generous.

In the tradition of the Czech poledni menu, service will be briskThis is where the social contract kicks in: We're not going to rush you, but you should arrive with the understanding that this service model is designed to have you fed and on your way home in about 45 minutes. We know this is America, but in Czech Republic, most people who opt for poledni menu at lunchtime are in and out within 20 minutes. We don't expect that of you, but this is designed to be a time-efficient weeknight outing.

If you come for the first seating at 5:30 pm, please bear in mind that the second seating will begin arriving at 7:00 pm. If you want the option to take a little more time, we advise getting tickets for the second seating.

Gratuities are not included in the ticket price, but our servers certainly appreciate them.

If you've attended a LUKA dinner before, you know two things: The food will be outstanding, and you will leave satisfied.
