28, 29 February and 1 March
Teatro Calderón
Valladolid
This Friday, the Compañía Nacional de Danza, directed by Joaquín De Luz, will be appearing at Teatro Calderón de Valladolid with a very special programme. As well as offering the iconic pieces Por vos muero, by Nacho Duato, and Enemy in the Figure, by William Forsythe, we will also be offering the premier in Spain of Love, Fear, Loss by Ricardo Amarante.

Love, Fear, Loss: three pas de deux accompanied by a pianist interpreting, live, the unique music of the Edith Piaf, enticing the dancers to explore universal human sentiments through their bodies.

Taking advantage of our visit to the city, our dancers will be out on the streets of Valladolid continuing with our photo shoot series, which captures our many different stories beyond the stage.

Ricardo Amarante show us what is behind Love, Fear, Loss
Ricardo Amarante, choreographer of Love, Fear, Loss, tells us the story and process behind his work.
Together with Blanca Li, both choreographer and current director of the Teatros del Canal, the CND is preparing PULCINELLA, an original creation for the Compañía Nacional de Danza, in collaboration with the OCNE. Here, the creative potential of music and dance come together hand in hand.
Pulcinella, a piece inspired by the music of Igor Stravisnky, will hold its premiere on 8 March in the Auditorio Nacional de Música, within the Orquesta Nacional de España’s En famille  season .
