Literacy Parade
Your child is asked to come to school dressed as their favorite book character on Friday, March 6th and will parade at 9:00 am on the bus pad, weather permitting! Students are welcome to use a book from our Center for Learning & Innovation, the community library, or from home.

The "R" Word Screening
You are invited to attend a screening of the film "The R-Word," sponsored by Unified Champions: a program through Special Olympics that fosters an inclusive environment through sports and physical education.

Pre-K and Kinder online registration is available at the DSISD website March 23 - April 1. Documentation may be dropped off at Walnut Springs Elementary April 14th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and April 16th from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Read to Succeed is a Six Flags program to promote reading for students in grades Kindergarten-Fifth. Students will get free admission to Six Flags Fiesta Texas if they read and participate. Students must read for 6 hours to qualify.
