As you know, there were a few carrier transitions for PDP plans during 2019 affecting how you track your PDP business. It can get confusing so here are some tips that may help clarify the transitions and assist you with managing your book of business (BOB).
Aetna Coventry Transition to WellCare
- Aetna/Coventry PDP no longer exists
- Any Aetna/Coventry plans written with 2019 and prior effective dates were transitioned to WellCare
- All member issues should be directed to WellCare member services – 866-439-1189
- These policies will NOT appear in your WellCare BOB at this time. The membership appears only on your January 31st, 2020 commissions statement as an adjustment
- WellCare is working on incorporating this into your BOB – no delivery date on this initiative is available
Silver Script Transition to Aetna/CVS
- You must be contracted with Aetna to represent SilverScript
- Your business will follow the upline you are with for Aetna as of 2020 effectives
- Your business written prior to 2020 effective will follow the upline for SilverScript at that time
- If you had one upline for SilverScript and a different upline for Aetna, your SilverScript business could now be split depending on your commission assignment
- SilverScript certification is taken through the Aetna website – Producer World
- Your SilverScript policies will be shown in your Aetna BOB
- You SilverScript commissions will show on your Aetna commission statements
