David Robinson Fellows and IDEA Carver Academy have partnered with SOS!
We would like to welcome the Carver IDEA Academy and the David Robinson Fellows to SOS!  The Robinson Fellows receive mentoring and guidance from the Hall of Fame legend and former San Antonio Spur, David Robinson, along with other financial support, and college/career advice. The fellowship saw the value in the leadership, service and international travel experiences that SOS provides and thus, decided to form this partnership with us. SOS is proud to to partner with the Robinson Fellows, and we are excited for your upcoming travels with us to Italy/Greece and Costa Rica this summer!

COVID-19 Guidance
SOS is closely monitoring developments with the COVID-19 situation. We put traveler safety and security as our number one priority. As such, we have determined that we will not proceed with our trip to China this summer. Alternative arrangements are in the works for those travelers. As for all other trips, we will be closely watching the guidance issued by the U.S. Department of State and the Centers for Disease Control. We will keep all travelers updated regularly as we proceed.

Make it Happen for March - Star's MIH for China

Let's help Star Belmonte Make it Happen. You and your school can write letters and make cards for our friends in China dealing with COVID-19 Coronavirus. We plan to write letters and notes of encouragement throughout the month of March to the people of Wuxi, and other cities in China. Pictures are welcome too!

The notes should have messages like: "We support you" "USA loves China" "San Antonio cares" and things along those lines. Since the notes aren't expected to go to any patients per se, we can avoid "Get well" or things that seem like we think that they are personally sick.

Star Belmonte got her school, CAST Tech HS involved already and SOSer, Araceli Martinez-Higgins, was featured on KSAT 12! Check out the story here.

Contact amir@sossanantonio.org if you or your school want to get involved!
