What's happening with MTS - North Carolina?
This year has started off wonderfully for MTS - North Carolina! I have had the privilege of spending at least two days a week at the capitol and have gotten to know a host of legislative aides, policy advisors, and lobbyists. I’ve met with former state representatives and senators, a former member of congress, and two former members of the State Board of Education.
The North Carolina House and Senate are currently in the interim (not in session) so there are ample opportunities to meet with their gatekeepers and others at the capitol who are not as busy at the moment. It’s a ripe time for relationship-building!
In addition to developing relationships at the capitol, I have been preaching most Sundays, building awareness of the ministry to churches, individuals, and presbyteries, and raising the remaining funding necessary to resource the ministry. Seventy-five percent of our total annual support need of $90,000 has been raised! I am praying that God will raise all the remaining funding for MTS - North Carolina by the time the House and Senate return for session in late April.
On a personal note, our family is doing well and we’re preparing for a new baby girl to arrive in April. Please continue to pray for us as our family grows and as we enter this new phase of ministry.
