Celebrating 100 Years of Waldorf Education

CONTENTS

Dear <<First Name>>,

Rudolf Steiner was born in Kraljevec, Croatia (then the Austrian-Hungarian Empire) in February 1861. In his Lectures to Teachers, given before the opening of the first Waldorf School 100 years ago, Steiner said: "We must not offer children understanding merely for their ears, but we must communicate from soul to soul. If you remember this, you will make progress."

The world has changed in myriad ways since Steiner's birth and since the first Waldorf School began. Over the coming weeks, we look forward to sharing with you the progress and growth that we too are experiencing at the Vancouver Waldorf School.

GRADE 3 FAIRY HOUSES

Grade 3 students have been busy building homes for their fairy friends to keep them warm and dry for these last few weeks of winter. Using materials from nature, these wee dwellings will return to the earth until the next creative souls come along to create something new.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUDOLF STEINER
