1. Hack with the OpenBCI team!

Upcoming Conferences Sponsored by OpenBCI:

March 13th  //  New York, NY  //  2020 Open Hardware Summit
June 7-8th // Brussels, Belgium // Neuro Hacking for Need-Knowers
June 8-11th  //  Brussels, Belgium  //  8th Annual BCI Society Meeting

OpenBCI is partnering with IEEE Brain to host Neuro Hacking for Need-Knowers, a satellite event at the 8th Annual BCI Society Meeting in Brussels, Belgium. Need-knowers are people living with motor disabilities, or the people who work with them, who know exactly what it is they need on a daily basis. Over two days, teams of makers will work directly with "need-knowers" to create tools that will extend their abilities.

The hackathon takes place Sun, 7 Jun 2020 through Mon, 8 Jun 2020. Be sure to register as there are limited slots available!

5. Project Highlight

This month we have a different kind of spotlight! Introducing Uliana Apatina, a trans-disciplinary artist working at the intersection of art, science, technology, architecture and journalism. Her artistic practice explores a cross-reality zone between virtual, physical, and mental spaces and investigates a contemporary condition of being a post-human.

Her project ANTI-GRAVITY REALITY uses the human subject's electroencephalogram (EEG), galvanic skin response (GSR), and pulse sensor (HRV) data in an immersive VR and physical cross-reality with 360 degree interaction. By incorporating the OpenBCI Ultracortex EEG headset and the HTC Vive, the installation features live-time response to biodata, mirroring and enhancing the subject's mental state.
