Here's what we've done!

On October 23rd, we held our annual Shaping a Healthier Community event. We were thrilled to have 96 people from 46 community organizations attend! Community members like you inspired us with so many great ideas. Since the event, we've:
  • Started forming 5 new teams, which means we're working on breastfeeding, mental health and vaping education, a school food pantry, and screening for food insecurity.
  • Added breastfeeding resource pages on our website with info for employers and mothers.
  • Developed a vaping public service announcement (see below for more info).

What can you do about teen vaping?

Talk with the child or children in your life about vaping. In collaboration with the American Lung Association, Bridging Health Duluth and KBJR6 developed a PSA encouraging parents to talk to their kids about vaping. Keep an eye out for our vaping PSA on channel 6 or watch the video here.

What's coming up?

In our next newsletter, we'll be sharing a list of Bridging Health's teams and ways to get involved, and updates on our mental health PSA.
