Subiaco Library is now open!


The new look Subiaco Library reopened on 14 February after a major interior refurbishment. The City listened to the feedback of library patrons and has provided more seating, quiet work areas and power points so you can BYO device! The children’s library has had a total makeover too with new flooring, shelves, furniture and fish tank.

Bring the family and come along for a guided tour of the new space!

Live Well Longer and the City of Subiaco invite you to attend a free workshop for seniors and family members to learn how to design your own home care package, or how to support a family member through the process. Bookings are essential. 
Little critters and young riders
Sunday 8 March
Returning to Subiaco, the Ring Summer Criterium is a full day of thrilling road cycling action with events for riders of all ages. Bring your young rider along to the Dome Little Creatures race; a free event where all children are awarded a number plate and participation medal. See you at the starting line!
 
Free messy play day
9.30am Sunday 22 March
Supported by the City of Subiaco, Subiaco Toy Library presents a morning of free messy play activities for children aged 6 and under. Everyone is welcome to join in and get messy with paint, water, goop, slime and more - plus a sausage sizzle! Numbers are strictly limited and bookings are essential.
 
Rokeb-illy Hoedown
5pm Saturday 14 March
Inspired by the southern American music and food of the early 1950s, this unique event for the whole family will feature line dancing, a live Rockabilly band, American-style food, a hot rod car display, themed hoedown activities for kids, a milkshake bar and a licensed bar for the adults.

Career support workshops
From Tuesday 3 March
Supported by the City of Subiaco, Dress for Success are offering free career support workshops for women only, every Tuesday in March and April, on topics such as building resilience, LinkedIn and interview skills. Bookings are essential. 
Support for young people
Get up to $400 towards your goal
What do a drama tour, interstate cricket, science camp and a university exchange have in common? They have all been eligible for a City of Subiaco Youth Achievement Grant! City residents aged between 12 and 25 can apply for up to $400 to support their goals. Simply apply online year round.
 
Bran Nue Dae mural

The City of Subiaco has partnered with the West Australian Opera to present a mural commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of Bran Nue Dae. Artist Kambarni has designed the mural to include the iconic blue skies and red dirt of the Broome landscape along with key symbols from the musical.

Survey closes Tuesday 24 March
The City is developing it's first Social Infrastructure Plan - and invite all community members to have their say! Social infrastructure includes facilities, service networks and spaces that are used by our community, such as such as parks, libraries, recreation centres and schools. Complete the survey and be in the running to win a $100 voucher.
