100m Championships Qualifying


The 100M Championship racing will commence on Friday 13 March.  This leaves just 3 club nights, including this week, for your swimmers to qualify for these events.

The important Championship details are;
  • Friday 13 March - 100m Freestyle & Breaststroke
  • Friday 20 March - 100m Backstroke & Butterfly
  • Sunday 29 March - 100m Medley
  • 3x recorded times - In order to qualify for any of these races (except the IM) your swimmer needs to have recorded a time in three (3) 100m races for that stroke this season
  • The last night you can qualify is 6 March following this club night there will be no more 100m races other than the championships.
  • To qualify for the IM Championship your swimmer needs to have only one (1) recorded time for this race, however they do need to have a recorded time for any race at any distance on at least half of the season's club nights
  • This week - If your children have been nominated for a 50m race this week but would like to move to a 100m race please email Wendy racesecretary@nundahsharks.com.au or see her prior to 6:30pm on Friday night.

To all Sharks families coming to Wet'n'Wild this Sunday, we'll be meeting at the main gate between 9.45-10am, gates open at 10am. Come and get Mr Nash to mark your name off and give you your tickets. If you will be arriving late, please let Stu know on 0448 726 496.

We have the Kokomo Marquee area booked out for us under 'Nundah Sharks School' so once you're in, feel free to set up in that area.

The BBQ will be fired up in time for everyone to get a sausage for lunch along with a popper juice. Bring plenty of snacks, water and sunscreen ... and we'll see who can go on the most rides!

Don't forget:
1. Lots of water.  2. Sunscreen.  3. Snacks

  1. Stay off the lane ropes
  2. Stay in the pool
  3. Stay in sight of your children
Please remind your children of the rules so everyone can have fun and be safe.  P.S. Rule 3 is for the parents.

Disqualification

No one wants to DQ or be DQ'd.  Remind your children;
  1. Butterfly - 2x hand touch
  2. Breaststroke - 2x hand touch
  3. Medley - 2x hands for Butterfly and Breaststoke
Also remind them not to stand up or touch the bottom of the pool before touching the wall.
