WEBINAR | WHAT'S NEW?
THE 2019 EDITION OF THE MINIMUM STANDARDS
FOR CHILD PROTECTION IN HUMANITARIAN ACTION (CPMS)

Dear Friends, Colleagues and Partners of the Alliance:

We are happy to announce an upcoming webinar: What's New? The 2019 edition of the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (CPMS). This webinar - the first in a series - will introduce the most recent version of the CPMS, now available on the Alliance's website: https://cpie.info/2019CPMS

Susanna Davies and Joanna Wedge, co-leads of the CPMS Working Group, will share the major changes in this edition, answer your questions, and share options and resources available for roll out.

As many of you may know, the 2019 edition was launched in October 2019 following a two-year revision process which involved 1900 individuals and 85 agencies. The revised edition reflects:

  • recent sector learning and evidence;
  • improved guidance on prevention,
  • gender and age inclusion, and
  • greater accountability to children.
It also includes better guidance on use in refugee settings and infectious disease outbreaks as well as concrete models for integrated approaches amongst child protection and health, education, nutrition and other sectoral actors.
