Earth's Instructions in Resilience

Relationships matter and diversity is stability: that's it! These two foundational ecosystem truths offer a lesson to ethically and honorably engage with energy, food, and with one another.

It is with sadness
that we let you know that Bill Nicholson died on February 10, at age 95. Bill was Betty Nicholson’s husband and while he was not a member of our Fellowship, his children opted to ask that donations made in his honor, be made to Starr King UU Fellowship. We are grateful for the life that was his and the memories he left his family. http://csnh.tributes.com/obituary/read/William-Bill-Nick-Nicholson-108169662

Solar Project Information Session with Ted Vansant - in case you missed the last information session, Ted will offer it again on Sunday, 2/23 right after the service.  This is your opportunity to ask questions and make comments prior to the Special Meeting on 3/8/20 to vote on entering into a Power Purchase Agreement with Barrington Power to install and operate a Solar Array on Starr King property.

Stewardship AnnouncementThe Stewardship committee will be distributing pledge packets this Sunday to members who have not signed up to attend a cottage meeting. We encourage you to take time to read the contents before submitting your pledge.  You will find compelling reasons to pledge generously when you read through the quotes from our vision sessions, letter from LInda, and information on our budget and sources of funding.  We appreciate your pledges as an expression of gratitude for the joy, purpose, and meaning this Fellowship brings to all of our lives.

FEBRUARY OUTREACH COLLECTION:   PEMI YOUTH CENTER - February’s Outreach Collection will be in support of the Pemi Youth Center which is housed in the “Old Fire Station” on Main Street in Plymouth.  The Center provides a safe and welcoming environment where youth ages 10 – 17 may gather after school, Monday through Friday.  A variety of activities are offered, as well as help with homework.  Snacks and a home cooked meal are provided each day, with the youth participating in the preparation.   All services are provided at no charge. The collection for the Pemi Youth Center will take place on March 1.

Our Stewardship campaign is the financial expression of our mission to cultivate more love in the world and nurture more love for the world.  We pledge our support with gratitude for the joy, purpose and meaning this Fellowship brings to our lives.

In our own words:

“I am blown away by how people pitch in and help carry out special events.  In this community everyone contributes their talents.”

“I am proud of the way we care for each other on many levels.  Even when there are difficulties, we care enough to resolve them.”

“I would miss everything.  I can’t imagine not having the Fellowship in our life.  My children are far flung and they occasionally ask why we don’t move closer to them.   This community is one of the reasons I wouldn’t leave.”
