Tarot Card of the Month ~ The Knight of Wands
For those who are reading this newsletter for the first time, every month I discuss the tarot card that has appeared the most in the month's tarot readings. Even though the cards will always have individual significance, a commonly occurring card can also have a say about what's going on for the whole community.
The Knight of Wands was overwhelming in its appearance in this month's tarot readings. Not only did it turn up in most readings, it regularly showed up multiple times in individual readings! "Behold! Here I am again!".
When the Knight of Wands is moving through our lives we are asked to watch and pay attention. Are we able to discern the subtle, along with the obvious? This Knight assists us to do just that. They also help us to be assertive, and not only that, to persist with our assertiveness until we get some results that we are satisfied with.
The Knight of Wands wants us to watch for timings - not to just blunder on in whenever the mood strikes us. They encourage certainty about what is required before we leap into action. Boldness is necessary, and so is at least a pinch of self-confidence.
The assured verve of the Knight of Wands means that our certainty doesn't have to indicate something is perfect - it just means we have to move in order to create the next step on the path. And keep in mind that while this Knight encourages movement, it is your version of movement - however boundless or tiny - and cannot be compared with anyone else's method of working with this archetype.
Now to hear from three different Knight of Wands cards from my personal tarot collection:
The Knight of Wands from the Next World Tarot by Cristy C. Road says, "Own the moments that fill you with energy, no matter how brief. Recognise how things are changing, and be ready to meet with the tests that follow any transition."
The Knight of Wands from the Pagan Otherworlds Tarot by Uusi says, "Communicate your intentions clearly through your actions. Hold back only for good reason, and always be ready to start the momentum back up as soon as you feel the tide change."
The Apprentice of Keys from The Collective Tarot by the Tarot Collective says, "Be fearless as you keep connecting with life, no matter the strange things it may ask of you. Keep company with those you find inspiring, and also be aware that others may find you inspiring. So keep on showing up - it helps us all."
Until next month,
Best wishes,
Sarah Barry (Psychic Sarah)
P.S Want more tarot stories? I post a Tarot Reading for the Collective on my website every month. For January's Tarot Reading I used The Elora Tarot Deck, a community deck conceived by Shelley Carter.
This month's questions are:
What do we need to get ready for?
What requires our ongoing attention?
Where can we best direct our energy?
What do we need to be practical about?
Read on for the responses, and please let me know how you experienced this reading - I appreciate the feedback.
[I usually post the Tarot Reading for the Collective in the first half of every month, sometimes later... but it does happen every month!]
