Keep calm and lead
Can crisis prompt bold action for regeneration?

Globally, one impact of Coronavirus could be to slow progress towards renewable energy, as solar panel and battery production factories remain closed. Alibaba has responded to the crisis by offering discounted loans to affected businesses: how can your business prepare to be a leader in times of crisis? And how can we collectively shift our crisis response away from disabling panic towards constructive collaboration?

We're inspired by these examples of leadership: France passed a law banning the disposal of unsold goods, numbering the days in which luxury fashion brands can put exclusivity above ethics by burning or scrapping high-value goods. Will this accelerate regenerative economies by prompting circular business models, recycling infrastructure and industrial symbiosis?

Across the Atlantic, Florida purchased 20,000 acres of the Everglades, a wetlands conservation area, to save it from oil drilling. Protection of ecological hotspots is crucial - but what about damaged and depleted ecosystems? What investment models are needed to support their purchase for regeneration?

We invite you to share examples of leadership and collaboration for regeneration, by using the hashtag #signalofchange on Twitter and Instagram, or tagging @forumforthefuture on Facebook
